How To Use One

Tuck the pouch between your upper lip and gum. Off to one side is most comfortable for most people.

After a while, take it out and throw it away. That is the full routine, start to finish.

Picking the right level
Pouches come in different strengths, measured in milligrams per pouch. Strength is the single most important choice you make, more than anything else. Too strong feels harsh and heady, too light leaves you reaching for another. Here is how every line we stock lines up.
Strengths listed are what each line offers. Which ones are physically on the shelf moves week to week, so call ahead or come look.
- New to pouches? Start at the bottom of that table, not the top. It is simple to move up, and starting too strong is the fastest way to a bad first experience.
- Coming off cigarettes? Most people land somewhere in the middle rather than at either end. Tell us your old pack habit and we will narrow it down.
- Already using pouches? Watch the math when you jump lines. Going from 6mg to 11mg at the same number of pouches per day nearly doubles your daily intake without your routine changing at all.

New Formats
The two newest things on the shelf
Both major brands pushed into stronger, moister pouches this year. If you have been using standard Zyn or standard ALP and felt like it was fading too fast, these are the two to ask about.
Zyn Ultra
Zyn's first real format change in years. Ultra sits above the standard range on every axis: it starts at a strength higher than classic Zyn's strongest option, and it swaps the familiar dry pouch for a moist one that feels softer and releases faster.
The can changed too. Twenty pouches instead of fifteen, and a built in compartment in the lid for used pouches, which is genuinely useful if you are driving or out on the boardwalk with nowhere to put one.

ALP Drifters
The strongest pouch ALP has released. Drifters is a separate formulation from the core ALP line rather than a straight extension of it, built as a semi moist pouch that sits slightly drier than standard ALP but hits harder.
It is a limited expansion, so stock is patchy nationwide and it moves quickly when it lands. If you already like ALP and want more out of each pouch, this is the step up. If you are new to ALP entirely, start on the standard line first.

Do nicotine pouches contain tobacco?
No. Nicotine pouches are tobacco free. There is no leaf, no smoke, and no vapor. You place the pouch under your lip and it releases nicotine while it is in.
How long do you leave a pouch in?
Most people leave one in for a while and then remove it. There is no set rule. When you are done, take it out and throw it away.
What strength should I start with?
If you are new to pouches, start with a lower strength. It is easy to move up if you want more, and starting too strong is the most common reason people have a rough first try.
What is the difference between Zyn and Zyn Ultra?
Zyn Ultra is the stronger, moister version. Standard Zyn is a dry pouch at 3mg or 6mg with 15 pouches per can. Zyn Ultra is a moist pouch at 9mg or 11mg with 20 pouches per can, and the lid has a built in compartment for used pouches. Ultra starts above the strongest standard Zyn, so it is a real jump, not a small step.
What is the difference between ALP and ALP Drifters?
Drifters is a separate formulation, not just an extension of the core ALP line. Standard ALP is a moist pouch at 3mg, 6mg or 9mg. Drifters is a semi moist pouch, so slightly drier under the lip, at 6mg or 12mg. That 12mg makes Drifters the strongest pouch ALP has released. Both come 20 to a tin.
Which pouches are moist and which are dry?
Standard Zyn is dry. ALP, Lucy and Zyn Ultra are moist. ALP Drifters sits in between as a semi moist pouch. Moist pouches release faster and feel softer, dry pouches release more slowly. Most people prefer one clearly over the other once they have tried both.
What is the difference between a nicotine pouch and an ALP caffeine pouch?
A nicotine pouch delivers nicotine and is a 21 plus product. An ALP caffeine pouch has no tobacco and no nicotine. It delivers caffeine for energy and focus instead, so it is a completely different product.
