Puffco, Explained
Everything you actually want to know about Puffco
A plain English guide to how they work, which one fits you, and how to keep it running right. Straight from the shop on Venice Blvd.
The Basics
So what is a Puffco, really
Puffco makes electronic rigs. Instead of the old torch and nail routine, you get a battery powered device that heats a chamber to a set temperature at the push of a button. No open flame, no guessing, no waiting for a nail to cool down. You pick your temp, it heats in seconds, you go.
That is the whole appeal. Consistency and control. A torch runs however hot you happen to hold it. A Puffco hits the same temperature every single time, so your sessions taste the same and you are not scorching anything. It is why they took over the space and why people who try one rarely go back.
How It Works
Three steps, start to finish
Press the button, choose your heat setting, and let the chamber come up to temperature. Most models get there in well under a minute.
A small amount goes a long way. The chamber does the work, so you never need a torch or a separate nail.
Inhale slow and steady. Lower temps favor flavor, higher temps favor bigger clouds. Dial it to taste.
The Lineup
Which Puffco is right for you
Four devices, four different priorities. Here is the honest breakdown of who each one is for.
| Device | Best for | Form factor | The pitch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peak Pro 3DXL | The full experience at home | Desktop rig with glass | The flagship. App connected, precision temp, and the biggest, smoothest pull in the lineup. If you want the best and you mostly session at home, this is it. |
| Proxy | Flexibility and travel | Modular wand | The chameleon. Pops out of its base and into different glass and pipes, so it goes from pocket to centerpiece. Great if you like to switch things up. |
| Pivot | First rig or easy daily driver | Compact and pocketable | The easy entry. Simpler, lighter on the wallet, and quick to use. The one to grab if you are new to rigs or just want something low fuss. |
| Peak | The classic experience | Desktop rig with glass | The original that started it all. Still a solid, straightforward rig if you want the core experience without the extras. |

Getting Started
Your first few sessions
- Charge it fully before the first run. Give a new device a full charge out of the box so the battery calibrates right.
- Start low. Begin at a lower heat setting. You can always go hotter, and low temps show you what the flavor is actually supposed to taste like.
- Less is more. A little goes further than you think. Overloading the chamber just makes cleanup harder.
- Let it fully heat. Wait for the ready signal before you draw. Chasing it early gives you a weak, uneven pull.
- Keep the water fresh. On the glass models, clean water makes a real difference in how smooth it feels.
Care & Cleaning
Keep it hitting like new
A clean Puffco tastes better and lasts longer. The routine is simple and takes a couple of minutes. When a chamber finally wears out, a fresh 3DXL Chamber brings it right back to day one.
- Quick wipe after sessions. A cotton swab dipped in isopropyl clears residue from the chamber while it is still slightly warm, never hot.
- Deep clean weekly. If you use it daily, a fuller clean once a week keeps flavor crisp and airflow open.
- Empty and rinse the glass. Old water is the number one reason a rig starts tasting off.
- Handle the atomizer gently. It is the heart of the device. Keep it dry where it needs to be and never force it.
- Load clean with a Hot Knife. A heated loading tool keeps the mess off your chamber and your fingers.
Troubleshooting
If something feels off
- Not charging? Try a different cable and a wall adapter rather than a laptop port. Wipe the charge contacts clean.
- Not heating or a blinking light? That is usually the atomizer seating or the battery needing a full charge. Reseat it and try again.
- Tastes burnt? Time for a clean, or you are running the temp too high. Drop it down a notch.
- Weak pull? Check the water level and airflow, and make sure you waited for the full heat cycle.
- Still stuck? Bring it by the shop. We would rather take a look in person than have you guess.

Common questions
Is a Puffco worth it?
If you value consistency and hate dealing with a torch, yes. The control over temperature alone changes the experience, and a genuine device holds up for years with basic care.
Peak Pro or Proxy, which should I get?
Get the Peak Pro if you mostly session at home and want the best pull with app control. Get the Proxy if you want something modular that travels and swaps into different glass. Both are excellent, they just solve different problems.
How long does a Puffco take to heat up?
Most models are ready in well under a minute. You press the button, it signals when it is up to temp, and you go.
How do I know my Puffco is real?
Buy from a real shop and check that it is factory sealed with proper serial verification. Counterfeits are common online. Everything we sell at 1321 is 100 percent genuine.
