The short answer
Which Flower Mill should you buy?
Four mills, one milling system. The difference is size, material and whether you can change the plate. Pick by how you smoke, not by the price tag. Full breakdown in the comparison table below.
Standard 2.0"
Holds 1.5g, weighs almost nothing, mills a session in seconds. The cheapest way into milling.
Shop the 2.0" →Standard 2.5"
Holds 2.5g. Same aluminum build and fixed Medium plate, the best seller for good reason.
Shop the 2.5" →Premium Stainless
Stainless throughout, pollen screen, and swappable plates so the grind is a setting, not a compromise.
Shop the Premium →3.5" Pro
Up to 7g a pass, 1,000g an hour, locking plates and a lifetime warranty. The one that stays on the table.
Shop the Pro →The full lineup
Every Flower Mill grinder we carry.
Live prices, all in stock at 1321. Every mill runs the same patented rolling rotor: flower crumbles where it naturally breaks instead of being torn through teeth, so the output is fluffy and even and the stems stay up top.

3.5" Pro Mill and Pro Kit
The largest Flower Mill ever made. A 3.5 inch footprint mills up to 7g in one pass and over 1,000g an hour, with a deeper housing, a locking plate system that stays seated under load, and a lifetime warranty. The Pro Kit adds all six Pro plates, the 3.5" grip, a mason jar adaptor and a hard case.
- 7g per pass
- 304 stainless milling chamber
- Locking swappable plates
- Lifetime warranty

Next Gen Premium 2.0" and 2.5"
Food safe stainless inside and out, a removable pollen screen, a quick release catch, and the thing the Standard cannot do: swappable mill plates. Medium ships in the box and the other four drop in without tools, so you can run extra fine for a vaporizer and extra coarse for a bowl out of the same mill.
- Stainless throughout
- Swappable plates, Medium included
- Pollen screen
- 2 sizes pocket or home

Next Gen Standard 2.5"
The same patented 20 flute rotor in aircraft grade 6061 aluminum with a magnetic top and a quarter turn quick release. Holds 2.5g, so one pass covers a session. The plate is fixed at Medium, which is exactly right if you only ever grind one way.
- 2.5g capacity
- 6061 aluminum
- Fixed Medium plate
- 6 colors

Next Gen Standard 2.0"
The mill that actually fits a pocket. Holds 1.5g, mills it in a few seconds, and strips down completely for cleaning. Same aluminum build, magnetic top and fixed Medium plate as the 2.5, in the same six colors.
- 1.5g capacity
- 6061 aluminum
- Fixed Medium plate
- 6 colors

Standard or Premium?
If you have ever wished a grinder went finer or coarser, get the Premium. If you have not, the Standard does the identical milling for a third of the price.
Premium or Pro?
The Pro is not a nicer Premium, it is a bigger one. If an eighth at a time is your normal, the Premium is the right mill. If you are milling for a session or a shop, the Pro does in one pass what the Premium does in three.
Mill or Kit?
Pro plates run $25 to $35 each, so five extra plates plus the grip already cover the gap to the Kit before the adaptor and case come into it. Kit if you want plates, mill if you do not.
Which size
Flower Mill 2.0 vs 2.5 vs 3.5.
Size is capacity per pass. It does not change the grind, only how often you have to mill.
Fits a pocket properly. Enough for a joint or two per pass. The one to carry, and the cheapest in both Standard and Premium.
Standard 2.0" $28 · Premium 2.0" $68The size most people should buy. Mill once and roll a few. Still small enough for a bag, big enough that you are not reloading mid-session.
Standard 2.5" $38 · Premium 2.5" $89A quarter in one pass. Built for rollers, pre-roll prep and anyone processing volume, and it turns smoother under a full load because the milling surface is so much wider.
3.5" Pro $249 · Pro Kit $459Why milling beats grinding
A grinder tears. A mill crumbles.
Every conventional grinder shreds flower between teeth, which packs it, chops the stems into the mix and scrapes the resin onto the metal. The Flower Mill's patented 20 flute rotor rolls flower across a plate and lets it break where it naturally wants to. That one change is the whole product.
Fluffy and even
Crumbled, not chopped. Light, airy and uniform, which means better airflow, a cleaner burn and a better vape.
Trichomes stay put
Low friction milling leaves the resin that carries potency and flavor on the flower instead of caked on the teeth.
Stems stay on top
Milling leaves stems in the chamber rather than shredding them through, so far fewer torn cones and harsh hits.
Nothing to jam
Sticky, resinous flower that gums up a tooth grinder mills through with almost no effort. It also strips down fully to clean.
Seconds, not spins
A magnetic top, a quarter turn quick release on the catch, and a batch milled in about five seconds.
Mill plates explained
The plate is the grind.
On the Premium and the Pro, the plate your flower passes through lifts out and swaps in seconds. Six plates, from extra fine for a vaporizer to Coarse XL for pre-processing. Every mill ships with the #3 Medium.
Extra Fine
The finest grind. Fastest, most complete extraction for ball vapes and tightly packed bowls.
Fine
A fine, even grind for dry herb vaporizers and packed bowls. Also the best plate for tight joints.
Medium
The all-rounder that ships with every mill. Handles most flower for joints, bowls and vapes alike.
Coarse
Chunkier with airflow to spare. Joints and blunts that burn slow and smooth, and bowls that do not clog.
Extra Coarse
The airiest grind on the standard range. Maximum airflow for the slowest, smoothest burning rolls.
Coarse XL
The biggest holes Flower Mill makes. Pre-processing and rolling in volume. Only exists for the 3.5" Pro.

Questions
Flower Mill grinder FAQ.
Is a Flower Mill better than a regular grinder?
For most people, yes, and for one specific reason: it does not have teeth. A conventional grinder tears flower and packs it. The Flower Mill rolls it across a plate so it crumbles where it naturally breaks, which gives a fluffier, more even result, leaves the stems up top and keeps more trichomes on the flower. If you vape, the difference is obvious on the first bowl. Read the full milling vs grinding breakdown.
Which Flower Mill size should I get?
2.0" holds about 1.5g and fits a pocket. 2.5" holds about 2.5g and is the size most people should buy. The 3.5" Pro mills up to 7g a pass and is for rolling in volume. Size only changes how much you mill at once, not the grind itself. The buying guide goes deeper.
What is the difference between the Standard and the Premium?
The plate. The Standard is 6061 aluminum with a fixed Medium plate and no pollen screen. The Premium is food safe stainless steel with a removable pollen screen and swappable plates, so you can change the grind. Both mill identically. If you only ever grind one way, save the money and get the Standard.
Do the mill plates fit every Flower Mill?
No. Plates are size specific: 2.0" plates fit the 2.0" Premium, 2.5" plates fit the 2.5" Premium, and the thicker locking Pro plates fit the 3.5" Pro only. The Standard has a fixed plate and does not take any of them. Check your model before ordering.
What comes with the 3.5" Pro Kit?
The 3.5" Pro Mill, all six Pro plates (#1 through #6 including the new Coarse XL), the 3.5" Neon Green silicone grip, a mason jar adaptor and a hard case. The mill on its own ships with the #3 Medium plate only. See the Pro Kit.
Where can I buy a Flower Mill grinder in Los Angeles?
1321 at 1321 Venice Blvd, Venice, CA 90291 is an authorized Flower Mill dealer with the full lineup, plates and accessories in stock. Open every day 11AM to midnight. Order online for free local pickup or US shipping.
How do I clean a Flower Mill?
It comes fully apart. Pull the top, lift out the plate and catch, wash the parts in warm soapy water or isopropyl, dry completely, then put a thin coat of Mill Wax on the rotor. Washing strips the film that keeps the action smooth, so a mill that feels stiff after a clean needs wax, not replacing.
Does the Flower Mill have a warranty?
Yes. Flower Mill's manufacturer warranty applies to every mill sold by 1321, and the 3.5" Pro Series carries a lifetime warranty.
