The tank did not change. Still 16mL, still 5% salt. So going from 15,000 to 25,000 rated puffs is entirely an efficiency gain. Same fuel, better engine. The device is slightly larger to fit the bigger battery, but not enough to change how it carries.

What actually changed

The Pulse X was always the bigger sibling. Larger tank, adjustable airflow, the flashy 3D curved screen, and a 25,000 puff rating that made the original Pulse look small.

The X2 doubles that to 50,000 in Regular Mode and 25,000 in Pulse Mode. This is where the reasonable question comes up, and it is worth answering plainly: the tank is still 18mL. Exactly the same as the Pulse X. So how does the same amount of liquid produce twice the puffs?

A new chipset and a redesigned airflow channel. Geek Bar's position is that the device pulls significantly more vapor out of each drop of liquid and delivers more nicotine per unit used, which is an engineering change rather than a bigger bottle. The battery also climbs from 820mAh to 1000mAh, about 22% more, which is what keeps output stable across a much longer life instead of fading.

Charging got noticeably quicker too, reaching roughly 80% in about 20 minutes.

The screen was fully redesigned with a new animated interface and light strips down the body. If the original X was already a bit loud for your taste, the X2 did not tone that down. It went the other way.

A note on the puff count arms race

Rated puff counts have roughly tripled in two years while tank sizes have barely moved. That is not entirely marketing, and it is not entirely honest either. The efficiency gains are real. The ratings are also lab conditions with short, consistent draws.

The practical way to read them is within a family. A Pulse X2 really does last about twice as long as a Pulse X. That does not mean you will personally count 50,000 puffs.
