Edie Parker · Hand Pipes
Pipes made by a fashion house, shaped like objects rather than like pipes.
Edie Parker came out of handbags and brought the same instinct with them: these read as things you would leave out on a table on purpose. Borosilicate glass throughout, with the function built into a sculptural form rather than bolted onto one.
Three shapes at three very different scales, so the choice is as much about where it is going to sit as about how it smokes.
The three shapes
- Cherry5.5" x 2" x 2", left carb
- Peppermint3" x 1", left carb
- Ravioli3.5" x 3.5" x 5"
Peppermint is the pocket one at three inches. Cherry is the longest and the most conventional to hold. Ravioli is the widest and squarest, and it is the one that works hardest as a shelf object.
