PAX's first full redesign since the original in 2012. The oven loads from the side now, and the whole airpath comes apart.

Everything people complained about on older PAX models got addressed here. The oven door moved to the side, so it packs like a pipe instead of requiring you to flip the device and fight a bottom lid. The airpath is fully open and the mouthpiece pulls off, which means cleaning is a two minute job rather than a cotton swab archaeology dig. And the draw got dramatically easier, several times the airflow of previous models, so you are not working for the hit.

Heating is hybrid now, conduction and convection together, with real time temperature control that adjusts as you pull. Four petal modes run from 180 up to 215 degrees Celsius, each one tuned to a different session rather than just a number: light and discreet, a slow ramp for long sessions, one held low for flavor, and one pushed high for density.

Then there is Bong Mode. It sits hidden at 225 Celsius and you unlock it by cycling through the settings twice until the petals go rainbow. It is built for running the Flow through a water pipe adapter, and it is the hottest and fastest the device gets.

Care

This is the easy one. Pull the mouthpiece, open the side door, brush the oven and swab the airpath. Do it warm and it takes a minute. The water pipe adapter for Bong Mode is a separate purchase.
