The 1321 Vaporizer Guide
Flower or Concentrate?
Two ways to vaporize, two very different rituals. One heats ground flower for a smooth, full-spectrum draw. The other flash-heats extracts for pure, potent flavor. Here's how they stack up, and every device we carry for each.
Know the Difference
It comes down to what you're loading and how it gets heated.
Path One
Flower Vaporizers
You load ground dry flower into a chamber. The device heats it with convection or conduction, releasing vapor without ever hitting combustion. No smoke, no ash, just the plant.
- You load: Ground dry flower
- Heat: Convection or conduction, roughly 350 to 430°F
- Draw: Smooth, full-spectrum, terpene-forward
- Best for: Anyone who loves the flower ritual and wants a cleaner, lower-key session
Path Two
Concentrate Vaporizers
You load a small amount of extract, wax, rosin, badder or oil into a heated chamber or onto a coil. An e-rig flash-heats it into a dense, flavorful cloud on demand.
- You load: Wax, rosin, badder, shatter, oil
- Heat: Ceramic or induction, roughly 450 to 650°F
- Draw: Bold, potent, intensely flavorful
- Best for: Experienced users chasing potency, flavor and bigger clouds

Browse e-rigsCommon Questions
Can one device do both flower and concentrate?
A few can. The Dr Dabber Switch 2 handles both with swappable induction cups, and Focus V's Carta Sport and Aeris accept a dry-herb atomizer alongside their concentrate cores. Most devices, though, are purpose-built for one or the other and do that one thing best. Ask us in-store and we'll match you to the right setup.
Is a vaporizer healthier than smoking?
Vaporizing heats material below the point of combustion, so you avoid a lot of the byproducts created by burning. It's widely considered a smoother, cleaner experience than smoking, though no method is risk-free. This page is informational and not medical advice.
Are e-rigs portable enough to travel with?
Most are. Devices like the Puffco Peak, Pivot and Proxy, the Dr Dabber Ghost 2 and the Focus V Carta all run on internal batteries and pack down for travel. Plenty of our regulars take a Peak on the road. The one true home-anchored setup is a desktop flower unit like the Volcano.
How much upkeep is involved?
Flower vapes need the oven emptied and brushed out regularly. Concentrate rigs need the chamber swabbed after dabs to keep flavor clean. Both are simple once it's a habit, and we stock the brushes, swabs and replacement parts for everything we sell.
