What it is: a limited edition colorway of the Peak Pro 3DXL in a violet to ember gradient, with exclusive glass and a matching chamber. Puffco built the drop out into a full set, including a Hot Knife and a standalone chamber in the same finish.
What it is not: a new generation. The hardware inside is the same Peak Pro 3DXL you can buy in a standard colorway today. Nothing about how it hits is different.
Who it makes sense for: someone buying their first Peak Pro, or a collector. If you already own a Peak Pro with a 3DXL chamber, this is a finish, not an upgrade.
Puffco released the Plasma collection on July 9, 2026. It is the flashiest limited edition the company has done, and it is also the one where the gap between what it looks like and what it changes is the widest. Both of those things can be true. Here is the honest version.
What is in the Plasma collection
| Item | What it is | Price at 1321 |
|---|---|---|
| Peak Pro 3DXL Plasma | The e-rig, with exclusive glass and a matching Plasma 3DXL chamber | $445 |
| 3DXL Chamber Plasma | Standalone chamber, for matching an existing Peak Pro | $95 |
| Hot Knife Plasma | The heated loading tool in the same finish | $59 |
| Plasma merch | Shirt, hat, desk pad, keyboard keycaps | Puffco site only |
Prices updated August 2026. Puffco raised prices across the whole range in August 2026, so any write up still quoting the Peak Pro 3DXL at $389 or the Plasma at $439 is running on older information. The figures above are what we charge today.
The colorway runs violet through to ember, with purple, indigo and orange across the body. Puffco leaned into gaming culture for this one, which is why the merch list ends with mechanical keyboard keycaps rather than the usual accessories.
The glass is the part worth looking at closely. It has a hand-forged center with carved line work and crushed opal detail inside, so water moving through it reads a little like electricity. That glass is exclusive to Plasma and does not appear on any other Peak Pro release.
What actually changed, and what did not
What is different
- The finish, in a violet to ember gradient
- Exclusive glass with a hand-forged center and opal detail
- A matching Plasma chamber and violet XL joystick cap
- Matching Hot Knife and standalone chamber, so the whole setup coordinates
- It will not be restocked once it sells out
What is the same
- The 3DXL chamber, already available on standard models
- Bluetooth control through the Puffco Connect app
- Custom heat profiles and real time temperature feedback
- Battery life and Qi wireless charging
- How it actually hits
The thing most write-ups skip: if you already own a current Peak Pro with a 3DXL chamber, Plasma will not give you a meaningfully different session. That is not a knock on the device. It is just what a limited colorway is, and it matters when you are deciding where to put your money.
So who should buy it
Three groups, and it is worth being clear about which one you are in.
First time Peak Pro buyers
This is the strongest case. Plasma runs six dollars over a standard Peak Pro 3DXL, and for that you get glass nobody else will have once the run sells through. If you were already planning to buy one, the limited version costs you almost nothing extra and holds its appeal longer.
Collectors
If you have Indiglow or Daybreak on a shelf, you already know the pitch. Limited Puffco colorways do not come back, and the ones that sold out earliest are the ones people ask about now. Plasma is the most complete drop Puffco has built out, since the rig, the chamber, the loading tool and the merch all coordinate.
Existing Peak Pro owners
Honestly, probably not the rig. If you want in on the colorway, the standalone Plasma chamber gets you the look without replacing hardware that already works, and we have it in stock alongside the rig. That is the sensible move and we will tell you the same thing in person.
A word on buying limited Puffco
Limited colorways are exactly the products that attract counterfeits, because the scarcity does the selling for the seller. If a Plasma listing sits well under what an authorized shop charges, or it is on a marketplace with no dealer information, treat it as fake until proven otherwise. That gap got wider after the August 2026 price increase, so old prices floating around online are now doing double duty as bait.
Buy from an authorized Puffco retailer. That is what gets you a real device, real glass, and manufacturer support if something fails. Puffco keeps a store locator, and any legitimate shop will tell you plainly that they are authorized.

Common questions
Is the Puffco Plasma a new device?
No. It is a limited edition colorway of the existing Peak Pro 3DXL. The internal hardware, the app control, the heat profiles and the chamber are the same as a standard Peak Pro 3DXL.
How much does the Puffco Plasma cost?
At 1321 the Peak Pro 3DXL Plasma is $445, the standalone Plasma 3DXL chamber is $95 and the Hot Knife Plasma is $59. Puffco raised prices across the range in August 2026, so listings still showing $439 for the rig are out of date. Anything priced well below an authorized retailer from a seller you do not recognize is a reason to be suspicious.
Did the Puffco Plasma go up in price?
Yes. Puffco raised prices across the lineup in August 2026 and the Plasma moved with it, from $439 to $445 at 1321. The standard Peak Pro 3DXL went from $389 to $439 in the same increase, so the gap between the limited colorway and the standard one actually got smaller.
Will Puffco restock the Plasma colorway?
No. Puffco treats these as true limited runs. Indiglow and Daybreak were not restocked after selling through, and Plasma is expected to work the same way.
Is it worth upgrading if I already have a Peak Pro?
If you already have a 3DXL chamber, you will not notice a performance difference. If you want the colorway, the standalone Plasma chamber gets you the look for a lot less than a whole new rig, and we stock it.
What is the 3DXL chamber?
It is Puffco's larger chamber for the Peak Pro, with a noticeably bigger bowl than the standard one and more vapor as a result. It ships with the Plasma rig, but it is not exclusive to Plasma and can be bought on its own.
How do I know a Puffco is genuine?
Buy from an authorized retailer. Counterfeits cluster around limited colorways specifically, because scarcity makes a low price look like luck instead of a warning. Authorized dealers also give you manufacturer support if the device fails.
