Quartz is the everyday choice. Cut to strict tolerances from clean quartz so the heating surface is uniform, sized at 14mm to sit flush in the induction well, and shaped so nothing escapes into the device. Keep two and you never wait on a cleaning cycle.

Sapphire is the upgrade, and it is a real one rather than a marketing one. Grown as a single lab crystal, it holds heat longer and gives up more of the flavor, particularly on a low temp start. It also cleans easier because less sticks to it in the first place. If you chase terps, this is where the money goes.
