MJ Arsenal puts out one Halloween collection a year, and this is the ninth. Six handmade pieces, a short run, and designs that do not come back next October. It landed at 1321 this week, so here is the whole drop in the order you would actually shop it, starting with what fits something you already own.
The short answer
Own a Puffco Peak or Peak Pro? Get the Specter, it is the only one that turns a device you already use into something new. Want a first piece that glows and fits in your hand? The Frankenbubbler if you like water, the Bud-Sucker if you would rather keep it dry. Smoke cones or blunts? The Jack O'Ripper. Dab? The Nightcrawler, which comes with everything in the box. Already own a Peak: the Specter
The Specter is a frosted ghost top for the Puffco Peak and Peak Pro. The whole body is frosted so it reads matte instead of clear, and the face is treated to glow once the lights go out. Water sits in the base the way it does on any Peak top, so the vapour still comes through filtration.
One fit note, because it is the question we get most at the counter: this seats on the Peak and the Peak Pro only. It does not fit a Pivot or a Proxy, which use different glass entirely. It is the glass on its own, no device in the box. The three that glow
Three of the six carry a glow in the dark face: the Specter, the Frankenbubbler and the Bud-Sucker.
The Frankenbubbler is a palm sized monster, four and a half inches across, with the green skin, bolts and stitching worked in colour through the glass. It holds enough water underneath to soften the hit while still sitting in one hand. The carb is on the left side, which suits a right handed grip.
The Bud-Sucker is a bat shaped spoon, four inches long, with the wings wrapping either side of the bowl so you have something to hold while it is warm. The glass runs 3mm thick, sturdier than most novelty pieces, and it packs dry with nothing to fill or empty. If you want the least fuss of the six, this is it.
For cones and blunts: the Jack O'Ripper
A full colour pumpkin that takes a lit cone or a blunt in the top and pulls it through water before it reaches you. The opening is 13mm, which covers most standard cones and hand rolled blunts. It is four inches tall with a front carb, and the face is coloured into the glass rather than printed on. If you already buy your cones from us, they are in rolling papers and cones.
The one that comes as a kit: the Nightcrawler
A seven and a half inch mini rig in full colour spiderweb on a 10mm joint, and the only piece in the drop that ships ready to go. The box has the quartz banger, a flat top carb cap and a mini dab tool. A small rig holds less water and less air, so the vapour reaches you warmer and keeps more flavour, and it wants a smaller dab in return. The Skele-Tube, if one is still around
The Skele-Tube is twelve and a half inches of frosted spine with a matching 14mm bowl in the box. The vertebrae are worked into the glass as texture rather than a decal, and at that height there is enough stack to cool a full bowl. It is the biggest piece in the run and the first to go: online stock is out right now, so call the shop on 310-759-5232 before you make the trip for one. One run a year
MJ Arsenal does not restock these after the season, and the designs change every October. What is on the shelf now is the run.
